Richard Box House

Richard Box House
The house on the left is at 75 Queen St E, St Marys, Ontario and was built in 1858.   It is named for Richard Box who bought the mill in 1869 and was mayor in 1877.  The stores on the right were built around 1854 for William Veal Hutton, mayor in 1866-67, whose family were the previous mill owners. The mansard roof was added in 1884 designed by William Williams architect of the Anstett Jewellers store.

It is next to the Thames River and theVictoria Bridge.
